GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

The Account Manager is responsible for providing technical and engineering solutions to customers and prospects in the assigned territory. Under the direction of the Director of Aerospace Division, the individual will be responsible for increasing the existing business and customer base, along with developing new customers and business within. This will be accomplished by providing technical solutions to customers and prospect application requirements so they design in JAE standard products, specially developed JAE products, or modified standard products.  

The individual must fully understand and have the ability to successfully interface with JAE customers, prospects, and JAE staff in the following areas:

  • MWD Products Basic technology knowledge of MWD tool or downhole drilling
  • PCB and/or MCM assembling - Basic knowledge of PCB and/or MCM (Multi Chip Module) assembling.
  • Collecting information regarding customers' business activities and using it to create proactive sales plans.
  • Developing new applications to increase sales opportunities.

The individual will be knowledgeable in electrical and electronic signal characteristics, thermal properties, and overall electrical and mechanical design of sensors (JAE and others), and how they relate to specific applications.

The individual will have a general knowledge of PCB components and circuit board design including PCB / MCM assembly.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop new business opportunities/applications with key accounts in the United States and Canada.
  • Interpret customer/prospect requirements and specifications for their applications and develop suitable technical solutions that utilize JAE products and technologies.
  • Provide recommendations to customers/prospects regarding their requirements.
  • Provide field (direct) engineering interface between the customer and with JAE's engineering, marketing and manufacturing groups regarding the development of new products or modification of existing products.
  • Participate in industry trade association meetings and committees as deemed necessary by JAE management.
  • Represent JAE at various industry trade shows.
  • Travel to JAE Japan for training, engineering and sales meetings.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree Engineering (Electrical) Required

Experience: Minimum 2 years of combined experience in Applications Engineering and/or Electrical Sales Engineering positions (preferably Oil & Gas drilling industries or electrical components assembly industries or automotive industries).

BUSINESS TRAVEL:

This position requires regional traveling 80% of the time.

PHYSICAL DEMAND:

This position requires lifting up to 25 pounds.
